IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE
Effective July 1, 2009, United Telephone Company will no longer provide free directory assistance (1-411) service. On the above date, all calls made to 1-411 will be charged at a rate of $1.50 per call. If calling 1-555-1212, 800, 900 or out of state directory assistance, the calls will be billed at your long distance carrier’s directory assistance rate.
*Customers can qualify for an exemption from the above 1-411 charges if they send written proof of visual or hearing disabilities or are 65 years of age or older to our business office.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SMTP AUTHENTICATION CHANGES
United Telephone will change to SMTP Authentication July 1st 2009.
We will require that all users (except those using only WEBMAIL) now use SMTP authentication when sending messages. If you do not have SMTP authentication turned on in your E-mail client by July 1st at 2 a.m. CDT then you will not be able to send messages through the email system.
