Tech Party by Zach McConnell Do you ever think about birthday parties of the
future? I’m going to tell you
how my party would be better with technology. A robot butler will answer the door before you can
even ring the doorbell. It is equipped
with an instrument that has the guest list loaded into the memory. By scanning your retina, the robot butler
knows if you have been invited or not.
If you are on the list, he unhooks the velvet ropes and allows you to
come in. Once inside, you will be led to a room with a wall
of labeled buttons that can give you almost anything you need or want. If you press the button marked
“SK8” two double doors open to a huge indoor skate park. Another button allows tables to rise up
from the floor that is covered in everyone’s favorite snacks. All the rooms are decorated with circuit
boards on the walls and video game controllers hanging from the ceiling. For the entertainment, there is a karaoke-type
machine that is like nothing anyone has ever seen before. After you pick a song, a holographic image
of the band appears and they play the song live! My favorite part is the party favors. You know how you are always supposed to
give a gift that you would like to receive?
Well, at my party the guests leave with an exact duplicate of the
present they gave me, as my gift to them.
Plus, each guest will get a robot dog that looks exactly like the real
thing. The difference is you never
have to feed it or clean up after it.
You only have to play with it and love it and it will live forever. That is my birthday party of the future, made
better by technology. |
